A collection of 10,000 Astrodle NFTs

Astrodles are a Human-Goblin hybrid species, complete with their own unique Traits & Rarities. They worship an ancient serpent god and travel around the galaxy preaching serpent lore, conducting magic rituals, rubbing their prayer beads, and harvesting the resources of exotic alien planets with their specialist trait skills.

Each Astrodle is a unique non-fungible ERC-721 token (NFT) issued by the Astrodles smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain, all artwork and trait metadata is pinned on IPFS for reliable permanence.

Pilgrims destined for staking on an alien planet

These 10,000 brave and pioneering Astrodles will soon depart their homeworld forever and embark on a one-way pilgrimage through space to stake themselves on the surface of an uninhabited planet named Phoros — a world rich in naturally occuring ERC20 resources that the Astrodles intend to harvest, trade and combine into luxurious NFT loot for their owners to collect (that's you). Astrodles Game players will be able to list their in-game manufactured bounty for sale on public markets like OpenSea and/or decide to utilise items in-game to improve the abilities of their Astrodle(s) and expand influence over the land.

The Astrodles NFT collection was created by artist and software developer @deodums after he got inspired by the well known Doodles project. To say thanks to the Doodles team & community, the Astrodles smart contract has been hardcoded to deposit 5% of all ETH collected from minting into the Doodles treasury. In addition, we're offering Doodle holders a chance to claim 1 of 500 FREE Astrodle mints before the pre-sale starts.

While the Astrodles project is a derivative inspired by Doodles, Deodums and the project team have worked hard to make Astrodles stand on their own. We've created a mysterious new universe — a completely undiscovered species with their own unique style, storyline and roadmap awaiting to be uncovered by those game enough to join the adventure!

Summoned by a script
of serpent sorcery

Once the Astrodles design system was established, features and traits were isolated into separate image layers. A generative script was then written to randomly select metadata and merge the corresponding layers into unique artworks. With over 100 traits, no two artworks in the 10,000 strong Astodles collection are the same.

Roadmap

To support our ambitious world building plans — the Astrodles Treasury wallet will be allocated 25% of all ETH collected during the launch. Furthermore, all future royalties collected from sales on OpenSea will go directly into the treasury.

TBD / 2022 Astrodles Launch
The Astrodles starship will embark on its journey to Planet Phoros when all 10,000 Astroles have been minted. Minting an Astrodle (or acquiring one on the secondary market) is your ticket to partake in the glorious harvest of Phoros.
TBD / 2022 Astrodles Game
The journey through space won't happen overnight...

But when the Astrodles starship arrives in orbit around Phoros (sometime in late 2022) it's Astrodle NFT passengers can be staked on the planet's surface to begin harvesting the delicious bounty that Phoros has to offer.

By this stage in the roadmap — the Astrodles Team plans to have developed and released smart contracts to support: On-Planet Astrodle Staking, NFT Land Ownership & Construction, and a tokenomics system based around ERC20 resource harvesting and trade — one that provides collectors with the ability to spend the ERC20 tokens they harvest to mint rare NFT loot within factories constructed by entrepreneurial collectors on the planet's surface.
TBD / 2022 New Planets
We're opening up the Astrodles Galaxy and embarking on an epic quest — one that will introduce collectors to new and exotic worlds ripe for terraforming and plunder. Each filled with collections of new NFT species, ERC20 resource types and tokenomic tactics for savvy collectors to master. Holders of the original 10,000 Astrodles will have exclusive first rights to all these things.

Provable Fairness

Provenance Record
Each Astrodle artwork will have had its IPFS json metadata and image file hashed with SHA-256. The resulting hashes will then be permanently assigned to a specific index position on the collections provenance record for all to see before minting starts. This allows artwork metadata (such as IPFS image urls and corresponding traits/attributes) to remain hidden during the sale so as to not give anyone an advantage — while at the same time providing collectors with assurance that images and metadata have not been tampered with or re-allocated by project owners after minting has taken place.
Collection Integrity
All the Astrodles artwork metadata hashes will be concatenated into a long string and hashed with SHA-256 to produce the collections provenance proof here # COMING SOON. This proof will be permanently hardcoded in the Astrodles contract to provide a way for collectors to confirm artwork images and metadata have not changed within the entire collection, including the order in which they were originally distributed.
Artwork Integrity
After an Astrodle has had its image and metadata revealed, the IPFS pinned links will appear at the artworks index position within the provenance record. To prove integrity, collectors (or anyone interested) can download and SHA-256 each file to compare the resulting hash against the listed pre-mint file hashes.
